Join a team of successful professionals helping young people become just as successful!!

Philosophy:

You may be one of the incredibly successful professionals out there who have been blessed to overcome tremendous odds and have risen to the top of your field... we want to provide a platform for you to share what you have learned with other young people who desire to do the same- this platform is called the ‘Brand of Brothers/Sisters’.

Background:

This peer to peer ‘me2we’ empowerment program was birthed out of the need to pass unique insight on to the next generation at 3levels. Firstly, (The Catalyst) those who have accomplished in the workplace can share with University students to ensure their transition into the workplace happens more effectively. Secondly, (The Enabler) University students exchange information with High School (The Achiever) students to make sure they understand the incredible dynamics of a post matric environment. Lastly, the three groups come together and exchange information about the big picture of building a meaningful life. We’ve combined 12years of peer to peer leadership training from leadership guru Timothy Maurice Webster along with the philosophies of psychologist Dr. Deepika Sharma and designed the ‘Brand of Brothers/Sisters’ and me

Objective:

To empower young people to look at their personal development holistically in the areas of Mental, Emotional, Spiritual, Physical (health) and Vocational- ultimately preparing and positioning University and High School students to explore and exploit their full potential.

The Model:

Each tier of the model will meet together on Saturdays from 9am to 2pm with a 1hour lunch break. On the Saturday each student will spend 80minutes at three stations. The 3stations are outlined below:


You will participate in a 3- station strategy of development:

1. Station 1- Life Skills Coaching

(Assertiveness, personal branding, networking, negotiations, communication development)

Subcategory- Internal Development, researching the Spiritual Realm.

2. Station 2- Peer Support

(Fun Activities) A space to be their age, bonding and team building activities.

3. Station 3- Vocational Innovation

(Career guidance)

Subcategory- Innovation Project where the student is assigned to an internship, community project or entrepreneurial acitivy.

Opportunity:

The Catalyst, Enable and Achiever will assemble on Saturdays for a total of 8weeks. The Catalyst and the Enabler will drive each Saturday a team of volunteers will work in either of the three stations and the activity within the three stations. The program is developed by the Armabrand foundation and Dr. Sharma but we allow for input by the Catalyst to ensure the program is relevant at each level. i cant keep your book out of sight. in 2006 when i was in high school, i read two pages from a stranger in a bus this year i was fortunate that my class mate had it and was kind enough to borrow me. i have not returned it, i am learnind a lot and maturing.Thanks a lot keep up the excellent work!!!!
