Greet Yourself First!

The students’ final session with Helen and Lea began in the usual much anticipated way, with the Personal Greeting. This is a process where we all learned how to get to know who we are so that we may become more productive people. Being with yourself for just a moment before being with the world gives you time to reflect.

You start with the body which is our vehicle to get around. It can be our temple, the instrument with which to play our song and it can bring you joy or great pain. We asked our body, “How am I today?” We take note of any aches or pains and put our hands there for support and the promise to take better care.

Secondly, we looked at the life forces in ourselves. We asked ourselves, “Am I excited and high in energy? Or sad and experiencing a depression?” As we took note of how much life was in our body, we acknowledged that it is this body which allows us to engage with the world around us. We said, “How are you life force?”

Last, but certainly not least, we go to the inner life. We thought about what we were feeling in the spot at which we were sitting. We asked if we felt great joy or sorrow in our hearts because of our circumstances. We took the time to acknowledge our feelings and took notice that they are there. We brought ourselves to the room recognizing our strengths and saluting the persons we are before beginning our day.

Not forgetting the one who is observing all of this life, the Choice Maker for all. The one who longs to be real as expressed in the outer world. We all humbling accepted that when you can realize Him in your life and within yourself, you will be able to see Him in the other person thus respecting and appreciating them accordingly.

Without a facilitator you may find the Personal Greeting very challenging to focus when you are alone in your thoughts. To remedy this, you will need discipline to grab your waking moment. Take this time to notice that you have come into something before you awoke and arrived into your body. Learn to hold this moment and grab the opportunity with both hands. Do with it what you can!

I know for a fact that the students will surely miss you, Helen and Lea. Your valuable life lessons have truly inspired us to focus on all parts of our beings for the betterment of not only ourselves but the world around us too. You will be sorely missed but also remembered through your inspirational words!

Our last session with helen and lea was simply remarkable, infact all of the sessions we've had with them have been extraordinary.Although i arrived a bit late i just couldn't miss the precious time where each person conducts a personal greeting with themselves. This in my opinoin is the most vital part of our sessions and i believe it should be treated as such by everyone. The personal greeting enables one to search and reach deep within themselves and discover their innermost thoughts and emotions at that particular moment. With the personal greeting i have learnt to unveil my heart and soul and decipher my deepest and most sensitive thoughts and feelings that i'd never thought i'd share with anyone, apart from my subconscience.I have grown remarkably through this experience and i do not only apply it in our classes but in my daily routine as well, because i believe that everything and anything that one does starts from witin. If you do not feel good on the inside then how do you possibly expect to portray a great and feel-good attitude to the universe? One should first be honest with themselves about their psychological, physical and emotional state and only then will they be able to share it with other people.I conclude by saying be ultimately true to yourself and then others and you'll definitely feel as though a million-dollar burden has been swifted off your shoulders.now go on and make the personal greeting part of your everyday life.

I was one of the people who ware given a second chanco to attend a session with Helen and Lea. I was moved to realise how much I missed in my teenage wood. I never thought that those things like the light bearer, motivator and guidence from tha parents and extended family were important, up until I attended the session. I was amzed on how I have grown irrespective of what eas happening or what was around me. To tell you the truth most of the thing were negative. Whenever youare determined to make adifference in your life environment is not significant, but what is important is the inner child or the soul. Having a strong and deep belief in GOD will be the only source of strenght. Jesus has good plans for you the plans to prosper you not to harm you.
